About Me

I have a reputation for smiling a lot, encouraging people to get outside their comfort zone, and taking too many pictures of my dog.

I think I'm okay with that reputation :)

I co-own Achieve Fitness, a gym in Boston, with my husband Jason. I also hold a journalism degree from Northeastern University that I thought I would finally put to use through this blog! Even though I changed directions early into my college experience and became a coach rather than a Red Sox reporter (my original plan), I still have a special place in my heart for writing.

In this blog I share my own personal experiences with a history of body dysmorphia and low self-esteem, and the many ways I began (and continue) my journey toward becoming a more confident, strong, powerful individual. I also share stories of triumphs - both personal and of the people I coach every day.

My main objective is to empower people through self-reflection, physical and mental strength, and empathy for what they may be going through.
